Share a folder with read and write access

Folders are shared only through a share link: a unique URL you copy and send. With Read & write on that link, anyone who opens the URL can add, change, and remove bookmarks inside the folder. They cannot delete the folder itself or change sharing settings — only the owner can.

Steps

  1. Open the folder's Share dialog

Right-click the folder in the sidebar and choose Share folder.

  2. Set the permission to Read & write

In the Permission dropdown, select Read & write.

Permission dropdown with Read and write selected.
  3. Copy the share link

Use Copy share link. Anyone with that URL gets read-write access to this folder until you revoke it. There is no separate “invite by email” path for folder sharing — access is always via this link.

  4. Save

Click Save if the dialog requires it, then send the copied URL to the people who should collaborate.

Change or end access

Reopen the Share dialog and revoke the link when that URL should stop working. To use a different permission (for example read-only instead of read-write), change the Permission setting, Save, then Copy share link again and share the new URL.
